We collect search queries to improve cache performance and search quality. If you join our waitlist, we store the email address you provide. We use standard web analytics to understand aggregate usage patterns. We do not require account creation to use the core product.
🧠How We Use Your Data
Search queries are used to optimize our caching systems and improve result quality over time. Analytics data is aggregated and never tied to individual users. Email addresses collected via the waitlist are used solely for product launch notifications. Your data is never sold to third parties.
🍪Cookies & Local Storage
We use browser localStorage to remember your recent searches and display preferences. Standard analytics cookies may be used to understand site-wide usage patterns. We do not use tracking cookies for advertising or cross-site profiling.
🤖AI Processing
Your search queries are processed by a local LLM (Ollama) running on our own infrastructure. Queries are not sent to third-party AI services like OpenAI, Google, or Anthropic for processing. The AI interprets your natural language questions and translates them into database queries entirely on our servers.
🛡️Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit. Access to production systems is restricted and monitored. Our infrastructure follows security best practices including access controls, regular updates, and secure configuration.
🗑️Retention & Deletion
Cached search results are retained according to their cache TTL (typically minutes to hours) and are automatically purged. If you would like your waitlist email removed or have questions about data deletion, contact us and we will promptly handle your request.
👶Children's Privacy
Ballpark Genius is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.
